Earn your (NQF) National Diploma in Animal Production,
with a Specialisation in Animal Health

Students who meet the minimum enrolment criteria can attend individual learning modules or a series of modules that, upon successful completion, lead to a National Diploma in Agriculture. The Programme is ideal for school leavers and individuals in employment. The MSD Animal Health Academy is strongly supported by our Veterinary Services Department and 9 highly qualified veterinarians. They provide expertise in their respective fields such as beef, dairy, small livestock, companion animals, pigs and poultry.

Overview


The National Diploma in Animal Production with a Specialisation in Animal Production, will equip students with focused knowledge and skills in Animal Health. Additional course content, designed by key industry role-players, is included to ensure students are exposed to the latest in industry developments.
Upon successful completion of the National Diploma: Animal Production with a Specialisation in Animal Health, students can enrol for a National Certificate in Agri- Sales and Services to become a qualified MSD Animal Health Product Representative.

TRAINING METHODOLOGY

Online/Blended Training

The blended training model allows students to complete theoretical modules online and practical sessions on a local farm – reducing time spent away from work.
Students can also attend relevant additional MSD workshops and skills courses that will contribute credits towards their qualification.
